Light

Starting on the first day of summer, the amount of light begins to slowly diminish and continues to do so daily until we come to the darkest day of the year. As the winter solstice approaches, we see light responding from candles in windows, menorahs, and trees. Our hearts are drawn to light and refuse to let the darkness overcome it.
